AML, White collar crimes and investigations, News

Maya Ivanova, Head of AML Compliance and White Collar Crime at New Balkans Law Office has recently become a member of the highly-regarded European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA). The ECBA has become the pre-eminent independent organisation of specialist criminal lawyers in all Council of Europe countries.

We believe that Maya’s regulatory background in the AML field from her previous position at the Bulgarian General Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and the State Agency for National Security complemented with her client-facing work at NBLO would be beneficial to the Association and its members.

Maya’s current clients include blue-chip companies, international financial services providers and various HNWIs. Being part of an organisation such as the European Criminal Bar Associtation would allow Maya to exchange ideas with like-minded legal professionals and be kept abreast of the newest developments in the sector so that she can better service our clients.
