Phishing Alert: NBLO & BNT Impersonation

New Balkans Law Office has recently been made aware of a phishing scam targeting Facebook page owners and administrators in Bulgaria. This scam involves fraudulent emails that falsely claim to be from Bulgarian National Television (Българска национална телевизия) and are being circulated using our law firm’s name.

These deceptive emails inform recipients that a post on their Facebook page has violated copyright policies for content owned by BNT. The emails often include an attachment that purportedly contains documentation of the violation. We strongly advise you NOT to open any attachments from such emails, as they may contain malicious software (viruses) designed to compromise your devices and data.

The fraudulent emails may also include a phone number belonging to New Balkans Law Office and a fake email address in an attempt to appear legitimate. Please be aware that New Balkans Law Office has no connection to these emails and has not authorised the use of our name or contact information in this manner. If you have received such an email:

• Do not open any attachments.
• Do not click on any links within the email.
• Do not provide any personal information.
• Delete the email immediately.
