MiCA in Practice: Case Studies and Live Expert Discussion
11 December 2025New Balkans Law Office hosted a webinar dedicated to the practical application of the EU’s MiCA framework, bringing together professionals from the crypto, financial services, compliance and legal sectors. The session focused on real life examples drawn from current advisory work and explored how companies are approaching cross-border activity, supervisory expectations and operational obligations under MiCA.
More than 50 participants joined the event, reflecting the continued interest in how MiCA is unfolding in practice and what businesses should anticipate as regulators across the EU begin applying the new regime.
Session Overview
The webinar centred on two case studies that illustrated typical challenges emerging under MiCA and DORA for issuers and service providers operating across multiple Member States. The discussion touched on themes such as supervisory coordination, AML considerations, operational requirements and early signals from regulators.
These cases served as a starting point for a wider conversation moderated by Nevena Bekyarova, during which speakers addressed questions raised by attendees and shared insights based on recent mandates and regulatory interactions.
