Making connections in the Bulgarian start-up and venture capital ecosystems

As we continue building our extensive network of connections in Bulgaria’s start-up and venture capital ecosystem, we at NBLO are proud to share that some members of our team recently attended several events to showcase and analyse the successful development of Bulgarian and SEE VC ecosystems. 

We are excited to share Nevena Bekyarova (NBLO Partner)’s recent attendance at the 0100 Conference CEE, an event that was held on 25-26 April 2023 at the HotelNH Collection in Prague and brought together private equity and venture capital investors from Central and Eastern Europe for the 12th time. In addition to networking opportunities with more than 350 industry professionals, 220 LPs and GPs, and over 60 speakers, the conference was an invaluable professional experience for Nevena to meet and build relationships with senior level General and Limited Partners from the VC & PE industry.

We would also like to highlight Kamen Shoylev (NBLO Owner and Co-Founder)’s attendance at the BVCA: The Evolution of Growth Capital in Bulgaria & SEE event, organised by the Bulgarian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB). Held on 26 April 2023, the BVCA brought together investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers from across the globe as they discussed the playbook for catalysing innovation and continuing the rapid expansion of the Bulgarian and SEE VC ecosystems.

At NBLO, we are honoured to be considered a key participant in the PE&VC environment at these events by members of the Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria EAD (FMFIB), a leading Fund of Funds (FoF) operation that allocates targeted public funds via special financing schemes. As we work with the FMFIB toward achieving our shared goal of ensuring sustainability in fund management, we look forward to continuing to guide our clients through the legalities around applying corporate practices with a prudential approach.
